Accessibility statement generator.

An accessibility statement tells visitors what standard you aim for, where you stand today, what you know is broken, and how to reach a person. Fill in the fields; copy the text or the HTML, or download the file. Nothing is sent to us.

Your details

Nothing you type leaves your browser.

Say only what is true. A statement is evidence, not a promise.

One per line, in plain words: what does not work yet and what you are doing about it.

Public entities under ADA Title II: your grievance procedure, with a link or an office.

Fill in the form and press Build the statement. The text, the HTML and a downloadable file appear here.

What a good statement contains

  • A standard. Name the WCAG version and level you aim for. The DOJ’s ADA Title II web rule uses WCAG 2.1 Level AA; most new work targets 2.2.
  • Your real status. “Partially conforms, reviewed on a date” is credible. “Fully accessible” with no review behind it is not, and it invites the complaint it was meant to prevent.
  • Known limitations. Listing what does not work, and what you are doing about it, is the single most trusted part of a statement.
  • A person to reach, with a response time you can keep, and for public entities the formal complaint route.
  • A date, and a habit of updating it.

Public entities covered by the Title II web rule will find the rule’s deadlines and exceptions in our plain-terms guide. If you want a review to stand behind the statement, the free preliminary scan tests ten pages in about fifteen minutes.
